As a Telnet Client is not always available or simply not allowed within organization, the Test-SmtpConnection Module would simply mimic the Telnet SMTP connection test performed by Exchange/Mail Administrators to debug and investigate SMTP Connectivity issues or Delivery issues. The Test-SmtpConnection Powershell Module specifically target SMTP commands (i.e. HELO/Mail From/RCPT TO/DATA).
